Advertising in Empty Shop Windows… How Did We Miss this Obvious Advertising Opportunity!
Don’t you just kick yourself when you see an opportunity that was sitting infront of you the whole time! Ouch! This is worth kicking yourself in the kneecap for if you didn’t see it, me included.
Is your local business store front looking alittle bland? Why not spice it up with an advertising billboard!
Here’s a basic money making idea for you, with the practical application of it at the end of this post…
You know when you walk down a busy street/mall that has high foot traffic, and you see businesses going bust and closing up shop? Well… what if these businesses (sometimes in prime locations) rented out their shop windows as advertising space to generate additional income for themselves?
Yep… imagine if these struggling store owners got entrepreneurial and decided to put a large digital advertising display in their store front window that advertised ‘the big boys’ who like to pay lots of money to advertise! Well this is now possible, and there is a company out there doing it. (I’ve included their link at the end of this post)
So how about you… can you see the potential? How many shops do you walk past that look bland and boring with no customers? What if you had a solution for them to sell advertising in their store window?
This is another idea that you could use to make money with, should you see the potential. Remember, most business owners just think down one path only, and that’s usually about their business and their product. Why not show them how to leverage out their leasing costs by ‘on selling’ a portion of their shop window as advertising space?
Even if you did mention this idea to ‘mum and dad’ business owners, most of them won’t do anything about it. If you did decide to show alittle motivation around this concept, there is money on the table waiting for you! Of course you could then systematize your process and licence it
It’s like getting a location for a vending machine… just talk to them about the benefits of having the display in their window, and you find the advertisers. If you get enough locations, you can then sell multiple locations to the one advertiser…just like you would in a business card display! Yes… we love leverage… oh yeh.
Think about it, the companies that rent this type of advertising space would be happy to get prime exposure in a mall or busy street for a fraction of the price they would normally pay for billboard advertising in the same area. The advertising revenue that the little guy (who’s normally getting stitched up for lease costs anyway) would generate by on-leasing a portion of their shop front, could make the difference between them sinking and swimming. Hmmmm… Food for thought.
