Advertising on Plastic Shopping Bags – Idea for you
How many times have you been to the local shops or markets, and they put your goods in a plain white plastic bag? Let’s get creative here…What if YOU supplied those plastic bags to the local business owners for free, but sold advertising space on them? Sounds like a solid win – win situation doesn’t it? You win because you make money by selling advertising on the shopping bag, and the business owner wins because they get the shopping bags for free! There’s also other ways you could structure the deal to make it more profitable. For example… 1) Charge the shop only what it costs you to produce the ‘advertising bags’, andtake the entire advertising revenue as profit for yourself
2) Make a profit by selling the ‘adver-bags’ above your cost to the local businesses, but at a lower price than they currently pay for their bags. 3) Offer the business a percentage of ad revenue to put toward production costs, or, toward their own ad. Finding out new ways about how to make money selling advertising is always fun, and anytime I think of something new (not that this particular idea is actually new, but I just hadn’t really put any thought into it before), you’ll find it right here on this blog. More ideas to come, but before we talk about the next advertising idea, just make sure you take note next time someone hands you a blank plastic shopping bag and ask yourself “Could I have supplied them that bag for free and sold advertising space on it?”
