Are the Home Based Business Owners Good Potential Advertising Clients For Your Business Card Displays?
They sure are! Here’s my thoughts on this topic…
One way you could describe your business card dispenser is “a mini shop front for business owners”. What I mean by this, is that alot of people who work from home have ZERO exposure out there in the marketplace. Any business you drive past that you can SEE obviously has great exposure…but how many home based businesses do you notice when your about and about? Most likely none.
When you think about it, your display is a perfect place for home based businesses to advertise, because if they signed a deal with you to go in 5 of your displays…in effect, they’ve just purchased themselves ‘5 mini shop fronts’ in commercial locations (where your displays are) for a fraction of the price that the business owner is paying where your displays are located!
It’s like they say about websites… when you first get your website up and going, sometimes it’s in your best interest to pay to advertise your site online with high ranking websites…because they’ve done all the work to get high in the search engines, and you just pay a fraction of what they’ve paid and you’re at the top!
Business card displays are the same, a home based business should be very interested in advertising with you…especially if you explain it to them like I just did to you. LET THEM KNOW that “they’ll be instantly seen in great locations right away to the local market, for a fraction of the price it would cost to lease these commercial locations.
Seriously, it’s great value for them!

Dean,
I have been approached to advertise in
a place mat for $350.00 for 6 months.
The ads are smaller than a business card
ad. The exposure is only in 1 store.
This is kind of like the color maps
you see around.

If you want to see what is being offered…I mean just about anything…join the chamber of commerce. I joined and I get emails, phone calls…you name it. I enjoy and take them all because I like the different approaches used.
Amazing what you can learn.

dmiles, you are right on with joining the chamber. Mine has monthly mixers and people are all looking for connections to expand their business. I collect the cards of people at the mixer and follow up with a nice meeting you email and then pitch them on a month of free advertising on one of my displays. A great lead builder for paying customers (the free riders usally want to pay when the time is up). Also network marketers are great for the displays. They don’t have a storefront, and are always needing to get their message out. I just signed up a lady doing Melalueca - obviously she loved the idea.

To add to the above….
I will assume that there are a few people reading this blog who actually own a home based business, or work from home at some capacity.
Have you ever had someone approach you about advertising? If so, how did they approach you?
It would be nice to see some imput to this topic, because if we can work out a way to get in the door of home based businesses, then everyone makes more money!
Any suggestions? Don’t be shy to start this off…could get very interesting!
