Are You Considering Buying Just One Biz Card Box to Test the Water First?

Over the years I’ve sold 100’s of business card dispensers, and the most common question I get asked is “Should I just buy one biz card ‘box’ first to see if it works in my area?” It’s a valid question and it’s always good to test an idea on a smaller scale first then progress… or is it?

My answer to this question is “NO”, it’s not a good idea to buy just one first. Why? Here are my thoughts as to why…

(Please note: Not everyone has thousands of spare dollars to spend to start a business, but just read through this post and you’ll see how I made my business work and how something ‘freaky’ happened to me in the process).

1) Buying a business opportunity isn’t a kids game… it’s about making real money to survive and beyond, and to make money in any business you need to be committed to making it work. Spending $400 – $600 on one display first is no where near enough of a commitment or motivator to make yourself get out there and do whatever it takes to MAKE the business opportunity work… no way!

2) The problem is that most people can afford $400 for one display, and if it doesn’t work…who cares, it’s only 400 bucks right! They then go away and pat themselves on the back for making a wise choice to only buy one display first because the business didn’t even work in the end anyway. Here’s the problem… the business has worked for many others, so is it the displays or is it really them that failed at the end of the day?

3) So who do you think has a higher chance of making a business opportunity work, someone who spends $400 or someone who spends $4000? My opinion is that the latter of the two, because there is more motivation to get the sales process right and more of a chance this person will study, read, learn how to package better and do whatever it takes to make it work. You will be amazed at what’s possible if you put a little leverage on yourself. Me, when I started in business I only had a few thousand dollars to my name and had just quit my job dealing cards in the local casino. I then went and purchased a $26,000 car on loan that I couldn’t even afford.

Why would I make such a large purchase with no money coming in?

Because it finally clicked to me that if I put enough leverage on myself to make money, I could make any business work…and also because I had no choice! Then something ‘freaky’ happened that I personally could no believe… that car was paid off in full within 7 weeks from sales I had made. I’m 100% sure that there was NO WAY I could have made this kind of money if I hadn’t put such a big ‘firecracker’ ($$$ loan) under my backside! Once I had that leverage on myself, all the lies and excuses I was telling myself about why I couldn’t make money were gone… I didn’t have time to think about them anymore!

I certainly understand that some people only have $400 to invest and can’t get a loan or funds from anywhere else right away. This is a common problem that I hear from every second person that calls/emails me who want to buy displays, or who are currently doing their research on this business opportunity. This is why I created a separate smaller opportunity that will skyrocket anyone’s chances of making the business card displays work before you even purchase one display, and you can then use the cash flow from this business to fund your displays… and to top it off, you’ll have ready-to-go advertisers for your displays! Please understand that if you can’t make this business work, you would unlikely make the ‘biz card box’ opportunity work anyway, so this may be a wiser option for you to get started in business.
