How to Fill Biz Card Displays Fast – With No Selling Involved

Posted on September 17th, 2008.

Hi Everyone,

Some of the emails people send to me with marketing ideas are complete rubbish, some have legs and others are great!

Yesterday I got one from a guy in the USA who could only sell half of the advertising spaces in his displays, and couldn’t work out what to do with the rest. So he came up with this….

He decided to register 8 website names around 8 different online products. He used the .info extension (instead of .com because it only costed him $1.99 p/year to have the name). So that costed $16 total + the hosting. So he was only out of pocket less than $100 to set this system up.

Then he went to www.clickbank.com where you can select any product out of 1000′s to sell. The great thing about the products is that they give you a tested sales letter with the product ready to go. Not only that, the product is an automatic download, so once the client clicks the payment link on his site (which is given to him), it’s all automated… so there are no ‘costs’ to the product. For example: One of the products was ’100 money making ideas for children in their local area’.

Anyway….

He then made a business card up on his computer (not a fancy one), and put it in the face of biz card display with the website address at the bottom of the card for people to jot down. Now… the clever part was that he didn’t load the display with any cards at all! He just had one home made one in the face of the displays. He did this with 8 different products (By the way, this can all be set up in one day), and now he just waits for people to go to the site and order… and the ordering process in completely automated!

Results: After 3 weeks he has made 18 sales at $29.95… completely automated.

Great use of empty spaces!!!!!!
