How to Use Your Website to Package Your Advertising Offer

Here’s a simple idea that you may have overlooked.
As we all know, it’s all about how well you package your offer. The key to packaging is catering to people’s ego… the better you can make your client feel and look, the higher the chances of you getting the sale become.
Let me give you a far fetched example to demonstrate what I mean…
What if every client that advertised in your biz card display received a free interview on prime time TV infront of 1,000,000 local viewers to plug their business. Do you think they would take the offer? Of course they would.
Now, unless you have some very good connections in high places, the chances of packaging your offer this effectively is slim. The point here is that people do like to be ‘profiled’.
How can you use this packaging ‘concept’ in your business?
Firstly, you need a website to use this idea. For those of you using the website template advertised on this forum, you can add this idea to your site right away by yourself.
The idea is to have a local business ‘profile page’. All you need to do is come up with a basic set of questions that you ask each and every business owner… this will keep your interviews uniform. The business owners will really like the idea of being ‘interviewed’ or ‘profiled’ for a local business website as part of the deal. IT’S IMPORTANT that you also sell your website… meaning you need to make it sound important to the local business community and how you are going to be interviewing all the businesses in the area etc. Anything that makes your site sound like they could ‘miss out if they’re not included.’
For example, when I advertise this blog online I say it’s ‘the biggest forum in the world for biz card operators’. This is true… and I certainly let people know about it because that’s all part of the success and packaging of the website.
Summary: Use your website to your advantage when packaging up your advertising offer!
