How Writing a Thank You Card Secured a Location

Hi Everyone,

Here’s another success story thanks to Dustin in Hawaii. This marketing technique is as old as the hills, but it still works! Nice work Dustin!!

Take the time to write thank you cards

While location prospecting last week, I stopped into one of our local oil change/service type businesses. Showed the display to the owner and had about a 3 minute conversation.
She said she would talk to her husband about it.

At the time I said it would be about a 50-50 chance of getting a display in with them. Had a hard time reading the owner, and wasn’t sure if she liked the idea.

Two days later I sent a thank you card letting the owner know I appreciated her time and her consideration in hosting a display… and that if her or her husband had any questions or concerns, to contact me.

Received a phone call yesterday from this lady, who now sounded completely receptive to the idea and mentioned that her and her husband would be happy to host a display.

Taking two minutes to write the thank you note was definitely worth the time and 41 cent postage.
