Make Money Advertising on Temporary Fencing??
Yesterday I saw a pretty interesting advertising ’add on’ that a local temporary fencing company has used to make extra money with their business.
You know how companies who are constructing something, or hosting a special event use temporary fencing for the occasion? Well yesterday I noticed one of these companies have put advertising on the fence and are openly promoting it…. I guess you could call it ‘fence-vertising’? There was a sign saying ‘advertise on this fence’, go to www…..
The idea makes sense, because normally these temporary fences are surrounding something new that is being built, a concert or something along those lines. In my opinion, the reason this is an eye catching place for advertising is because when there is something new, or an event, people will look and pay attention to it! Also, these type of locations would normally be ‘prime advertising exposure’ type areas, because if they’re building there, it must have decent traffic driving past! (Unless it’s a waste dump out the back of the woop woops).
How could you benefit from this concept?
Well it’s a matter of doing a JV with the fencing company and asking if you can place advertising on their fence, whether it be your own, or you form a long term relationship with the company for an advertising JV and build a full cash flow business out of it!
Sometimes the local council in your area will have restrictions on what (or how much) advertising is acceptable… they call it ‘advertising polution’. The reason I think this idea may pass council ok is because it’s ‘temporary’, but you would need to check that out.
The advertising signs I saw were approx one meter squared, so not overly large… but the advertiser would pay for that of course. You could then retain the sign and use it over and over again in different locations… and that would also get you repeat business from the same client 
Got to love marketing and advertising hah! There is money everywhere to be had in this industry, and i’ll bring as many of these ideas to you as I possibly can!
